I LOVE YOU DAD!

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy – This is a
saying we at provision swear by and to keep our little Jacks and Jills from
being dull we organize a play group meeting on every 2nd Saturday of
a month for the little ones who are clients of pA.. The aim being an
acceptance and integration of these kids into mainstream society.

Little children form a good number of our total clients who
suffer from retarded mental growth, cerebral Palsy and autism. They are made to
play games, sing action songs, draw and colour pictures. They also make simple
craft items by looking at the teacher with some help from the parents. Such
activities are at utmost importance as it helps develop their cognitive and social
skills. For the parents it’s a break from the daily monotony also serves as a
platform to meet other parents of children with disabilities, to share their
experiences and to realize that they’re not alone.Other kids are welcome to be a part of this group .Often one
can see the siblings of these children or children of the staff along with the
special children

The theme of this month was Fathers Day! We distributed
drawing sheets and helped them colour pictures which said “I love you dad”! A
way of letting dad knows just how special he is and an expression of
appreciation in the best possible way! They were taught new action songs. The
whole park was vibrant with their songs and cheers! All of us enjoyed
ourselves. At the end of the session we distributed goodies to the children. It
sure was a day of fun and frolic.ABOVE : Enjoying the colouring session!ABOVE:  Showing – off the artist in them! ABOVE: Attentively listening to the story!

sessions, please drop in at Coles Park anytime between 10 am-12 pm on the
second Saturday of every month and join the tiny tots in their smiles and
laughter!
