December 3rd is known as “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”. It was started in 1992 by the United Nations.

So how did you spend it? We were BUSY…we were all spread out all over Bangalore:

Akash Hospital: Our Mithra Special School students were part of an event where they sang songs and our school coordinator, Danny made a speech.

Bethany High School: one of our Client Care Coordinators, Manju made a speech, in front of a packed auditorium of students.

2nd Main in Kaval Byrasandra: 45 people (our staff, clients and local Lioness Club) swept the road, planted trees and picked up trash all for the purpose of making that area clean and more beautiful! We followed that up with distributing 5 wheelchairs to 5 deserving individuals.

We enjoyed the celebration! We hope that all of our differently-abled friends did as well!
