Last Friday, we had a wonderful wheelchair distribution at the proVISION ASIA centre. 11 wheelchairs were presented by our local Councillor, Mrs. Netra Narayan. We are so grateful to our civic leaders who work diligently to bring hope to the differently-abled community.
We had a great mobility aids distribution camp last weekend; over 20 kids and adults received the gift of mobility for the very first time. The camp was held in Malavalli; a village located three hours from Bangalore. Your support has enabled us to reach remote villages in Karnataka, so thank you!!
Partnerships with corporations give us great joy! We thank the team at Caterpillar, who enabled us to present seven wheelchairs to our friends with disabilities. These friends are now independent and have the opportunity to attend school, find a job or start their own business.
Twice a year, we receive a shipping container full of refurbished wheelchairs. They are taken to Bangalore Central Prison and are worked on by a small group of inmates.
